XPACE presents: Public Exposure at BIG ON BLOOR!

Installation and booth, on Saturday July 23rd, 1pm-9pm, between Dufferin and Landsdown.

Public Exposure is a group of diverse commercial and fine artists who focus on collaboration as a means to produce large-scale, interactive work. Prior work includes self-published zines, such as "Public Exposure - For your Safety" and the "Cavalcade" exhibition at XPACE.

Participating artists: Jessie Durham, Adrian Forrow, Nat Janin, Kassem , Javier Ortiz, Dmitry Bondarenko

Jessie Durham Jessie Durham is a freelance illustrator and designer that works from her east-end Toronto apartment. She lives with her comic book collection and and her loyal MacBook "Gustave". Jessie enjoys red-headed children, animals with mediocre human names, and terrible science fiction television. She graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2010.

Adrian Forrow Arriving in Toronto after spending his life growing up in Clarkson Ontario, Adrian Forrow spends most of his time creating idiosyncratic works of art, the remaining time is spent on a bike or thinking about them.  After a short-lived career in residential construction, Adrian attended Sheridan College for Art Fundamentals and is a soon to be graduate of the Ontario College or Aft and Design.  While in school, Adrian has had the pleasure to work with such clients as Sony, Nintendo Wii, Redsand clothing, Ad Bands and the Region of Peel.  To top it off, Adrian is very honest, dedicated and one of the nicest guys you will meet.
Nat Janin Nat Janin diverged from a path to a degree in science to pursue art and illustration, graduating from the Ontario College of Art in Design in 2010. She continues to live and work in the city of Toronto independently and as a member of Public Exposure Collective. When she is not at her desk she is often meandering around the city on a bike, exploring the urban landscape and observing the bizarre interactions that occur between people on the street.

Kassem Kassem graduated from Ontario College of Art and Design University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Design in Illustration.  Kassem has affiliations with other groups such as Machine Machine Publications and Half-Hunter.

Javier Ortiz Javier Ortiz is a designer, artist and illustrator living in the city of Toronto.  Javier attended George Brown College where he studied Graphic Design and later joined the Bachelors of Illustration program in OCAD University.

Dmitry Bondarenko Born in Moscow, USSR Dmitry immigrated to Canada in 1990, settling with his family in Toronto. He began drawing at an early age, becoming hopelessly addicted to visual art as a result. Eventually this brought him to study Classical Animation at Sheridan College, and more recently, to complete his studies of Illustration and Design at OCAD. He now continues to work, live, and make borscht in Toronto.
